Resetter Epson L1110

Is your reliable Epson EcoTank L1110 suddenly refusing to print? Are the red ink and paper lights flashing alternately like a disco, and your computer screen screaming "Service Required" or "Ink pad is at the end of its service life"?

Epson L1110

Don't panic. Your printer is not broken.

This is a standard safety feature built into Epson printers. The internal software believes the waste ink sponges are 100% full. To get it working again, you don't need to buy a new printer or pay expensive service fees immediately. You just need to reset the internal counter using a specific utility tool. I'll guide you through it—it takes less than 5 minutes.

Technician's Note:
This guide resets the digital counter. However, please remember that waste ink is real. If you print heavily (thousands of pages), the physical sponges inside might actually be wet. Once you're back up and running, consider checking the waste ink tube later to prevent leaks on your desk.

1. Get the Reset Utility (AdjProg)

First, you need the "digital key" to unlock your printer. This is the Epson Adjustment Program. I have archived a clean, tested version for you below.

2. Preparation (Don't Skip This!)

Many users fail because they skip these simple checks. To avoid "Communication Errors," please ensure:

  • Use a USB Cable: Do not use WiFi. Connect the printer directly to your PC/Laptop port.
  • Disable Antivirus: Windows Defender often flags resetters as "false positives" because they modify hardware settings. Turn real-time protection off temporarily.
  • Clear Print Queue: Cancel any pending documents stuck in the printer queue.

3. The Reset Procedure

Follow these steps exactly. Do not click random buttons, as this is a powerful service tool.

Launch the Tool

Extract the ZIP file you downloaded. Right-click on AdjProg.exe and select "Run as Administrator". If a License ID window pops up, just click OK/Enter.

Select Model

Click the [Select] button. Under "Model Name", choose L1110.
For "Port", leave it as Auto Selection. If that fails later, manually select the USB port labeled (L1110 Series). Click OK.

Maintenance Mode

Click the button on the right side labeled [Particular adjustment mode].

Find the Counter

Scroll down the list until you see the Maintenance section. Highlight "Waste ink pad counter" and click OK.

The Reset (Crucial Step)

This is where the magic happens:

  1. Tick the checkbox [Main pad counter].
  2. Click [Check]. (It will show points and usually 100%).
  3. Tick the checkbox [Main pad counter] AGAIN. (Important!).
  4. Click [Initialize].
  5. A popup will ask for permission. Click OK.

Reboot

The software will tell you: "Please turn off the printer."
Turn off your printer using its power button. Wait for it to shut down completely. Then click OK on your PC screen. Now, turn your printer back ON.

Success!

If the green power light is now steady and the flashing red lights are gone, congratulations! You have successfully revived your Epson L1110. It's ready to print your documents again.

Troubleshooting Common Errors

Did it fail? Here are quick fixes for common error codes:

  • Error 21000068 (Communication Error): This usually means the software can't "talk" to the printer. Ensure the printer is ON, the cable is good, and you have disabled other background apps/antivirus.
  • Error 20000010: The tool might be incompatible with your specific Windows version. Try right-clicking the .exe file > Properties > Compatibility > Run as Windows 7.
