Resetter Epson L3110

You are in the middle of printing a document, and suddenly your Epson L3110 stops. The red ink and paper lights start blinking alternately. A popup appears on your screen: "Service Required. The printer's ink pad is at the end of its service life."

Don't panic. Your printer is not broken.

Epson L3110

This is a digital lock built into the firmware. Epson printers count every page you print and every head cleaning you perform. Once that counter hits 100%, the printer locks itself to prevent waste ink from overflowing onto your desk.

To fix this, you don't need a screwdriver. You need a specific software tool called the Adjustment Program (AdjProg) to reset that digital counter back to zero.

Important Warning Before You Start

1. Disable Your Antivirus: Resetters (AdjProg) modify system memory to hack the printer's firmware. Windows Defender and Chrome will flag this file as a virus. It is a false positive. You must temporarily turn off "Real-time protection" to download and run this tool.

2. The Physical Reality: This software resets the digital counter. It does not clean the physical sponge inside your printer. If you reset this multiple times without cleaning the waste pad, ink will eventually leak out the bottom. Reset now to finish your job, but plan to clean the pads soon.

Step-by-Step Reset Guide

Follow these steps exactly in this order. Do not skip anything.

STEP 1: Connect via USB

You cannot reset the printer via WiFi. You must plug the USB cable directly from the printer to your Laptop/PC. If possible, use a standard USB 2.0 port (Black), not a USB 3.0 port (Blue) to avoid connection errors.

STEP 2: Disable Antivirus & Extract

Turn off Windows Defender or your Antivirus (Real-time protection). Then, Right-click the downloaded ZIP file and select "Extract Here". You must run the program from a folder, not inside the ZIP.

STEP 3: Run the Resetter

Double-click AdjProg.exe. When it opens, click the "Select" button at the top right.

  • Model Name: L3110
  • Port: Select USB001 (L3110 Series).
(Do not leave it on "Auto Selection", this causes errors!)

STEP 4: Select Maintenance Mode

Click the button that says "Particular adjustment mode".

STEP 5: Waste Ink Pad Counter

A list will appear. Scroll down to the "Maintenance" section. Double-click on "Waste ink pad counter".

STEP 6: Check and Initialize (Crucial)

Follow this exact sequence:

  1. Tick the small box "Main pad counter".
  2. Click the "Check" button. (It will show percentages, likely 100%).
  3. Tick the "Main pad counter" box AGAIN.
  4. Click the "Initialize" button.
  5. Click OK on the popup window.

STEP 7: Restart Printer

A popup will say "Please turn off the printer".

1. Press the Power Button on your printer to turn it OFF.
2. Click OK on your computer screen.
3. Turn the printer back ON.

Success! The blinking lights should be gone.

If the green light is steady and the red blinking lights are gone, congratulations! You have successfully reset your printer.

Troubleshooting: Communication Error

Error Code: 20000107 or Communication Error

This means the software can't "see" the printer.
Fix 1: Delete any other printers in your Control Panel.
Fix 2: Restart the "Print Spooler" service in Windows Task Manager.
Fix 3: Change the USB port (Try a USB 2.0 port instead of blue USB 3.0).

Program Freezes / Not Responding

This happens if you didn't extract the file from the ZIP folder. You cannot run AdjProg.exe from inside the ZIP. Extract it to a folder on your desktop first.
